HomeSourced Inc. would like to send you well wishes for the New Year!
As many of you know, on December 16, 2021, our main hub in the Philippines was incredibly impacted by the Super Typhoon Rai (Odette). We would like to give you an update on what happened and our future plans moving forward.
Typhoon Rai struck South-Central Philippines with 195 km/hr (121 mph) winds, also causing an aftershock of torrential rains, flooding, and mudslides. 400 people lost their lives and thousands were left homeless. People not only lost their homes but also had no access to electricity, drinking water, and even had limited access to gasoline.
The aftermath of such devastation was felt by our HomeSourced team. During this tragic time, our agents pushed to persevere despite these circumstances and to overcome this event together.
HomeSourced immediately stepped into action, offering immediate assistance to those who were in need. The office was running on backup generators and was opened to employees and families who had to evacuate. Rice and other basic necessities were provided to the employees. The HomeSourced family came together as best as they could.
HomeSourced launched fundraising campaigns by reaching out to clients and sending out GoFundMe campaigns. Our company wishes to help rebuild lost homes and provide any additional care if needed.
We recognize the efforts our clients have provided us without second thought. We truly appreciate every amount of help we received during the dark times that our teams in the Philippines had to face. We appreciate your generosity and continued support.
Typhoon Rai was a brutal reminder of how unforgiving mother nature can be. However, it was also a reminder of the resiliency and indomitable fighting spirit of the Filipino people. We are so very proud of our dedicated employees who remained committed to our company and doing the work even when there is chaos surrounding them. We thank you for all your hard work and we recognize how much effort you have been putting in despite these challenges.
The HomeSourced relief operation still continues to work toward rebuilding lost homes and generating a sense of stability for its employees.
We will continue to update you as our efforts evolve, and again we thank you for all your support of our HomeSourced family in the Philippines.
The storm has passed. There is hope for success and continual growth in 2022. Our team has proven to come together in times of adversity and will continue to show their strength and unity moving ahead. Thank you again to our clients for your support, and a special thank you to our HomeSourced agents for all of your hard work.
